I'll post more, but here are a couple from Madeleine's photo shoot last weekend.  She was an angel and was so good for the photographer!

First Tooth!

Actually, first two teeth.  Madeleine's been having an uncomfortable past couple of days, but we are glad she is cutting two teeth at once; get it over with!  She is drooling like a faucet :)

Wednesday Night Dinner, By Yours Truly

Yes, I made this dish!  What you are looking at is baked fusilli with Italian sausage and I was successful on the FIRST TRY (which is huge for me)!!  It's a Paula Deen recipe which means that it is not only delicious, it is healthy.  Right? ;)

Baby of the Month: Madeleine Foster!

Just got word from Charlie that Madeleine was picked to be "Baby of the Month" at school! We have to get some pictures together to display on the wall!!! So exciting. She also "graduated" yesterday to the big infant area (my baby's growing up).

So excited for Madeleine's first Halloween this month. Her costume has already been picked out and purchased--she's going to be a flower! She's still a little small for trick or treating-- no teeth!-- but maybe she can help pass out treats.

Roundup of the Past Few Months

I know, I know...I haven't been as good about updating pictures and whatnot as I've promised. I'm only able to do so tonight because Madeleine wore herself out early and is already snoozing. But that doesn't mean we haven't been taking as many pictures as ever! I've tried to hit some of the highlights of the past few months here.

First Word Alert

Madeleine has been babbling up a storm these days and, although it pains me to say it, it is official: her first real word was "Dada." Of course, Charlie's thrilled! Doesn't surprise me, though, she loves her Daddy. It really is the cutest thing, but hopefully "Mama" is not far behind....

At seven months old, Madeleine is really growing and doing new tricks daily. She isn't quite crawling yet, but she can push up on her arms and scoot backwards and sideways very well. She also loves to give big, wet sloppy kisses (and pinch people's noses...hard!). She's also just begun acting "shy," where if someone smiles at her, she'll smile back but then hide her face in my shoulder. As soon as she thinks you're not looking, she peeks back out. Such a character, with her tiny budding personality.

I'm DONE with the bar exam and am looking forward to updating the site soon with many photos of Madeleine from the past months. I also can't wait to get our wedding photos!!! As soon as I do, I'll have some posted (we should be getting them around the third week of August).

I leave Madeleine at nursery school and return to find....her hair in a little ponytail! So cute.

Blings and Things

Poor Madeleine. As a baby, she doesn't know any better than to just let us dress her up with all sorts of props. Here, she sports some groovy Dora the Explorer sunglasses, Aunt Ann's diamond ring, credit card, and wine. Wonder what credit card tastes like?

Mommy's been a little busy with bar studying, so updates have (obviously) been slow. Don't worry; I'll update soon! Madeleine's been very active lately! She started daycare, turned four months old, discovered her toes, and learned to squeal in several different octaves!

Happy 3-Month Birthday Madeleine!

She's now three-months-old and extremely talented. She can roll on her side, kickherlegsreallyfast, and almost fit her entire fist in her mouth. She can also babble words such as "ah-goo," "cah!," gooor," and "supercalifragilisticexpealidocious."

One of my favorite moments of the day. It was beyond adorable to watch 3-year-old Abbey pushing 2-month-old Madeleine in a babydoll stroller.

A smile captured on camera! She's smiling a lot these days, but it's difficult to cue up the camera in time to catch them.
